My ballet class for professional dancers puts an emphasis on movement and musicality. It plays on rhythms, changes of direction and speed, in order to keep mind and body alert.
The barre focuses on slowly preparing the body, with a special attention to the warm up of the hips and the feet. An intense work on the arms and ports de tête warms up the back and the spine, while giving breath and lightness to the dance. The center adds a focus on travelling through space, making the movements bigger and fuller, engaging the entire body.
The aim is the use of enjoyment and relaxation to reach a healthy technique and fluidity in movement.
